ReForm Plastic, a social enterprise by Evergreen Labs, has formed a strategic partnership with Concept Loop Pvt. Ltd. to address plastic waste across Asia and the Middle East. This partnership, sealed through an MOU, leverages the strengths of both companies in sustainable waste management. ReForm Plastic’s decentralized social franchise model, with 14 factories across nine countries, and Concept Loop's innovative product EcoGrete™, which converts low-value plastic into sustainable building materials, aim to scale plastic waste solutions. Together, they plan to expand operations across Southeast Asia, South Asia, and beyond, empowering communities and reducing plastic waste. Industry giants like Shell, Unilever, and PepsiCo already support their efforts, highlighting the significant environmental and social impact achieved so far. Both organizations are calling for further collaboration to drive global sustainable change.
In a significant stride toward environmental sustainability, ReForm Plastic, a social enterprise built by Evergreen Labs, has joined forces with Concept Loop Pvt. Ltd. This strategic partnership, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), marks a pivotal moment in the global fight against plastic waste, particularly across Asia and the Middle East.
Both ReForm Plastic and Concept Loop Pvt. Ltd. share a commitment to addressing the plastic waste crisis through innovative and scalable solutions. ReForm Plastic has established itself as a leader in sustainable waste management by developing and licensing technologies that enable the profitable and inclusive use of non-tradable plastics. With 14 factories already operational across nine countries and more on the horizon, ReForm Plastic’s decentralized social franchise model has proven to be a game-changer in the industry.
Concept Loop Pvt. Ltd., on the other hand, is at the forefront of transforming difficult-to-recycle plastic waste into innovative building materials and lifestyle products. Their flagship product, EcoGrete™, converts low-value plastic waste into plastic aggregates that enhance traditional concrete products. This process not only offsets carbon emissions but also provides a financially viable solution to plastic waste management, making a substantial impact on environmental conservation and sustainable development.
The partnership between these two industry leaders is poised to accelerate the development and deployment of innovative plastic waste management solutions across the regions of Asia and the Middle East. By sharing their respective technologies, ReForm Plastic and Concept Loop aim to achieve significant social and environmental wins, expanding their reach and impact.
One of the partnership’s ambitious goals is to expand ReForm Plastic’s operations to 100 factories in Southeast Asia, while Concept Loop will target South Asia, the Middle East, and Northern Africa. This expansion reflects the shared commitment of both companies to create a lasting positive impact on the environment.
The combined efforts of ReForm Plastic and Concept Loop have already garnered support from industry giants such as Shell, Unilever, and PepsiCo. Concept Loop has deployed over 600,000 units of their EcoGrete™ product in the past nine months alone, offsetting more than 700,000 kilograms of low-value plastic waste—equivalent to over 550 million wrappers. Meanwhile, ReForm Plastic has collected and converted over 1,000 tons of low-value plastics into upcycled boards and sheets, empowering over 10,000 informal collectors across multiple geographies through its operator network.
As this partnership takes root, ReForm Plastic and Concept Loop Pvt. Ltd. are calling on other organizations, waste management companies, and municipalities to join their mission. The collaboration is a crucial step toward achieving their shared goal of transforming plastic waste into valuable resources, driving sustainable change, and creating a lasting environmental and social impact.
Stay tuned for more updates as this partnership evolves and continues to make waves in the fight against plastic waste.
