Targeted Innovation Challenge (TIC) is the very first contest organized by Frontier Law & Advisory in collaboration with its potential partners: Da Nang Entrepreneurship Support Co., Ltd (DNES), Evergreen Labs, Vinatuna, Marco Polo Studios and others.

Targeted Innovation Challenge (TIC) is designed to stimulate focused innovation toward solving a specific environmental problem and to help Frontier connect with innovation community in Vietnam.

TIC 2016 aims at a specific marine and environmental problem. Frontier has identified the problem and also has its own solutions but instead of keep the solution to itself, Frontier would like to initiate an innovation wave to involve inventor teams in developing the solution. This year, the contest will be taken place in Da Nang in order to express Frontier’s belief that Da Nang has been building a friendly ecosystem for enterprises in general, start-ups in particular and will soon be an innovation hub.

2nd Da Nang Clean-up

On Saturday 17th September 2016, Evergreen Labs organized and hosted the 2nd Da Nang Clean Up at Man Thai beach area. Together with 430 volunteers from all ages and occupations, we covered an area of about 4 km and collected 275 trash bags with a total of almost 2 tons of trash. Proudly featured as one of hundreds of coastal clean-ups around the globe and the only clean-up in Vietnam on the International Coastal Cleanup Day initiated by Ocean Conservancy – an active international NGO with the vision of a healthy ocean that sustains life on our planet, this is our biggest event so far.

A big thank you goes out to local businesses and supporters who generously sponsored our clean-up event: Da Nang Xanh Travel, Danapha JSC, Fusion Suites Hotel, Waves Rooftop Bar, dananghappenings.com, Danasport JSC, Vietnam Pocket Guide and Clean Up Vietnam.

With the help of our active volunteers, the beach was freed of countless fishing nets, bottles, fluorescent lights, styrofoam, plastic bags, packaging and other items left behind and swept on to the beach. After the cleanup, we had much fun with BBQ, fruits, snacks, drinks and music. More importantly, we got to meet like-minded people who care about the environment and hopefully this spirit will be held up and spread among not only Da Nang citizens but also all over Vietnam for a clean and green planet. We are overwhelmed by the enthusiasm as a lot of participants have come to us and asked to join our next event. We really hope to welcome everyone again for our next event and any initiatives alike.

Fun Beach Festival – Environment, We Care

After two successful events at Coco Beach Camp (Jan 25, 26) and Vung Tau (June 18, 19), Fun Beach Festival is ready to score the third in Da Nang. The festival will last 3 days (August 12, 13 & 14) at East Sea Park and promises to draw thousands of people from all over the country and the world.

In addition to entertainment such as music, dancing, camping, beach cinema night, Fun Beach Festival – Mega Summer also aims to deliver several powerful messages: support Vietnamese artists, promote the beauty of Vietnam and join hands in protecting our environment.

Evergreen Labs is proud to collaborate with Fun Beach Festival Da nang – Mega Summer in “Environment, We Care” activities, some of these activities include a beach cleanup activity and recycle store.

Women in STEM conference: Women in Entrepreneurship & Innovation

Collaborated by University of Da Nang, Da Nang University of Science and Technology and Fablab Da Nang, this event will highlight the achievements of Women in STEM and inspire, educate and connect women in the science, technology and engineering community. The Women in STEM Forum will convene both men and women working in STEM for a day of open discussion on the role of women in the high demand professions of engineering, technology and science. With technology and science advancing at such a rapid rate, it is more important than ever that we inspire and educate women and girls to challenge the status quo and be a part of this global revolution. The conference aims at highlighting female role models and encouraging knowledge exchange and networking among female entrepreneurs.

Attend the conference for a unique combination of deep-dive and hands-on workshops; information and discussions about STEM careers and how to pursue them; and connection and networking opportunities with other women in STEM.
